Confetti
Reviewed by Sarah Downing

The competition for the most original wedding of the year is on. On offer for the lucky winners is a £500,000 dream home, their photograph on the cover of Confetti magazine and all expenses paid for the most important day of their lives. Which event will achieve success as the most unique? Will it be the musical wedding, the tennis wedding or, the naturist wedding? The battle is on.

Featuring an all star cast of British comedy talent, Confetti is full of laughter from start to finish. The fully improvised script and low budget approach give the film a documentary style which only adds to the humour.

It is the performances of Vincent Franklin and Jason Watkins as the Gay wedding planners which steal the show though. Their portrayal of stereotypical camp mannerisms is incredibly tongue in cheek and makes for a number of incredibly funny one-liners.

All in all, Confetti has all of the ingredients for a great comedy. Not only will you laugh all the way through it, I can guarantee you’ll be urging your favourite wedding couple to win the ultimate prize. This is an excellent example of how wonderful British comedy can be, so it really shouldn’t be missed.
