Libraries as Learning Places
Solihull Libraries are running the Libraries as
Learning Places project, to promote the wide range of learning opportunities
that the service can offer.
If you would like to know more about how you can access learning via
a computer on any subject from Business Studies to Car Mechanics or Basic
Internet and Email to Advanced Powerpoint, please contact Kate or Adil.
We can arrange appointments with individuals to discuss your learning
needs and to help you to find the most appropriate course, learning package
or other materials to help you. We can also come out and give talks to
groups and bring further information and examples of the courses available.
If you run a small business and would like to explore learning opportunities
for yourself and your staff, please get in touch and let us help you
explore the options open to you.
Many of these learning opportunities are free of charge and provided
by Learndirect but we can also refer you on to other learning providers
in the area. Solihull Libraries are accredited members of the Birmingham
and Solihull IAG Network, which provides information, advice and guidance
on all aspects of learning and work.
So if you are unemployed or currently in work but would like to change
direction or just learn new skills for fun, the Libraries as Learning
Places project can help.
