
The Colebridge Way is new 10 mile walk
linking the highlights of North Solihull and
the neighbouring corners of Birmingham and
Warwickshire.
Whilst this main route of The Colebridge Way is 10 miles long,
The Colebridge Way Network also comprises a series of loops,
figure-of-eights and other shorter walks of various length,
mostly on relatively
flat
ground, and mostly off-road. Within this network are walking
routes suitable for all ages and abilities. |

It
is a part of Solihull's “Walking for Health” initiative
and is a joint project of The Colebridge Trust, Solihull Primary
Care Trust and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
"Walking
the Way to Health" is an initiative of the British Heart
Foundation, The New Opportunity Fund, Kia Cars and the Countryside
Agency which aims to get more people walking in their own
communities, especially those who take little exercise or
live in areas of poor health. The initiative started in England
in October 2000 and It aims to improve the health and fitness
of more than a million people by 2005.
